The railway is located in Thompson Park in Burnley which is ideally located close to the centre of the town and only a few minutes walk from the busy shopping centre, train and bus stations. Burnley Football Ground at Turf Moor is only about a 10 minute walk away. Whilst there are no parking facilities in the Park, there is some adjacent street parking and ample free parking only a few minutes walk away along what was the track of the old colliery railway line. On special event days organized by the Society, limited parking is available by prior arrangement close to the track and facilities for off loading of Locomotives, etcetera.
